The main international event for the music industry in Greece takes center stage from 7 to 10 May in the heart of the city!
Athens Music Week makes a strong comeback from 7 to 10 May uniting artists, professionals, and music lovers for a four-day event full of presentations, discussions, networking events and many showcases concerts featuring local and international names.
From emerging talents and established artists to top industry professionals and music pioneers, AMW serves as the perfect platform for knowledge exchange, inspiration and the creation of new collaborations. With more than 200 guests, including music creators, representatives of international music networks, festivals, showcase conferences, concert venues and key industry stakeholders from across the entire music ecosystem, as well as more than 40 artists and bands from Greece and abroad showcasing their work, AMW will transform Athens into an open, vibrant music hub.
This year, the Festival places a strong emphasis on mobility, accessibility, and social cohesion, stepping out into the city and bringing music closer to everyone. The events will be hosted at key conference and concert venues, such as ETERON, Olympias, Arch Club Live Stage, and Aux Club, creating an exciting, energy-filled atmosphere in the heart of Athens!
At the core of this year’s edition is the exploration of dynamics and connections within the evolving landscape between artists, professionals, and technology, with a focus on digital transformation and new technologies that enhance music creation. The conference programme will delve into the latest trends and challenges facing the music industry, bringing together key players to explore innovative solutions in artist education and professional development, as well as shaping the future of live performances. In collaboration with representatives from international networks and companies such as the Association for Electronic Music, Federation of Music Conferences, Music Tech Europe Association, IMPALA – European organisation for independent music labels and national associations, The Orchard και Beatport, AMW will highlight the social dimensions of music creation, technological advancements in live performances, and new networking opportunities that are redefining the music industry.
Additionally, expanding its international presence, AMW strengthens collaborations in the Eastern Mediterranean by building bridges between artists, professionals, and organizations from the Balkans, Turkey, Cyprus, and Lebanon, promoting connectivity and knowledge exchange. At the same time, it shifts focus to the Asian music scene, hosting leading speakers, professionals, and creators to forge new collaborations. As part of this, the Festival will feature a special focus on the rise of K-pop, exploring its influence not only as a music genre but also as a global business ecosystem reshaping the music industry.
Of course, showcase concerts, an integral part of the programme, can’t be missing from the menu, returning with a dynamic lineup of emerging artists from both Greece and abroad.
The first acts of the AMW Showcase Festival have been announced, and among the international participants, highlights include Billy Lockett, the talented singer-songwriter from the UK who blends indie rock with orchestral elements and has collaborated with top global artists such as Lana Del Rey and Jamie Cullum; Özge Ürer, the pioneering creator from Turkey who combines reggae, trip-hop, and oriental melodies; and Divorce From New York from Spain, with his alternative sound that merges jazz, electronic, and broken beat.
